A 9-piece 1/2 in. sq. drive insulated socket set, equivalent to 26 pieces. Metrinch sockets are designed to drive on the flats, not the corners, this enables them to suit metric/imperial, A/F, Whitworth, BSF and BA hexagon nuts and bolts.All tools are manufactured from high grade chrome vanadium steels, which are insulated using two contrasting insulating layers, yellow and red. This allows for visual inspection of the tools should damage occur. Manufactured to VDE standard and supplied complete in high visibility plastic case.,1/2 in. sq. drive reversible ratchet has a socket locking facility quick release button. The insulation materials used have excellent mechanical and electrical properties (over temperature range -20 °C to +70 °C) and are tested to a minimum of 10000 V, 50 Hz for 3 mins at various stages of manufacture. The insulation is positively bonded to the tool, impact resistant, fire retardant and resistant to most acids. To ensure visual safety should the insulation become damaged, the final coat is 'orange' and preceding coats are 'white'. These tools are designed to help protect the user during live working, accidental contact or 'flashover' when working on or adjacent to energised systems, and are guaranteed up to 1000V."
