The OCTOPUS is suitable for environments with dirt, temperature fluctuations and other critical environmental conditions. This ensures fail-safe data communication even in demanding environments. These IP54 Ethernet switches guarantee the high availability that is required in demanding automation systems environments. These rugged switches fit well in environments with network redundancy. PoE models are also available.

This switch:

Supports automation protocols such as Profinet, EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP

Possesses 10 twisted-pair ports (10/100 BASE-TX) with vibration-proof M12 connections with D-coding.

Has additional features that include a robust, fire-proof, die-cast housing, protection class IP54 and a temperature range from 40° to +70°C.

Also complies with all relevant industry standards and is approved for use in road and rail vehicles and ships. This makes it particularly suitable for use in small-scale networks in transport, manufacturing and process automation where management functions are not required.

Boasts a MTBF rating (mean time between failures) of 30 years

Includes LEDs that display device status and network status as well as a functioning power supply.

Has a fanless design and redundant 24V power supply to guarantee high operational safety.

Can be mounted on the wall or on the machine itself, where its 184 x 189 x 70 mm housing (w x h x d) occupies very little space.
